Ultimate tuna sandwich
One of my favorite lunches is this tuna sandwich. It’s quick to make has a ton of protein and is super tasty! To make this tasty lunch you’ll need the following:
- One can of tuna – 120 cal
- One Tablespoon of mayonaise – 100 cal
- One green onion chopped
- One Garlic Stuff Olive chopped
- One Strubs dill pickle chopped
- Two slices whole grain bread – 240
The Makin
Drain the tuna and empty it into a bowl. With a fork flake it up nicely. Now add the mayo and mix thoroughly. Add the mayo before the other ingredients to get maximum coating on the tuna. If you add the other ingredients first you might need to add more mayo to get coverage.
Chop the onion, olive and pickle. Believe it or not, a Slap Chop actually works really well for this. Though its a bit of a pain in the ass to clean. You don’t need need to use the brands mentioned here – use what you have available in your market or the brands you love. These are just my favorites. Mix the chopped veg in with the tuna and mix.
Spoon out the tuna mixture onto the bread. You can also use a pita or tortilla if you would prefer.
